Meet our Men’s Therapists in Dallas
Sara Galaso is an empathetic, trauma-sensitive therapist who works with men, adults, children, couples, and families at Madrega Wellness Dallas. She brings warmth, steadiness, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience.
Sara specializes in helping men who feel emotionally overloaded, disconnected, or stuck—often after years of pushing through pain or responsibility without space to process it. Her approach is trauma-informed, body-based, and deeply compassionate, helping clients listen to and care for their body’s signals rather than override them.
Her clinical background includes intensive work with migrant and refugee families, shaping a culturally responsive and trauma-informed lens. She has specialized training in grief and loss, infertility, faith deconstruction, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and play therapy.
Fluent in Spanish, Sara offers bilingual services for Spanish-speaking individuals and families. As a mother of three, she brings lived experience and a relational perspective to her work with parents, caregivers, and those exploring generational healing.
Trauma-Sensitive & Somatic Men’s Therapy
Sara offers therapy that gently supports the nervous system and helps men reset from the inside out. Her work is especially helpful for men who feel chronically stressed, emotionally numb, reactive, shut down, or impacted by trauma, grief, or loss.
Modalities include:
EMDR, somatic and body-based practices, trauma-focused therapy, IFS-informed work, mindfulness and grounding tools, CBT, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and compassion-focused, strength-based approaches.
This work moves beyond talking about problems—helping your body and nervous system experience greater safety, relief, and perspective.

I help men navigate anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust. Many of the men I work with feel pressure to hold everything together—at work, in relationships, or as caregivers—while struggling internally with burnout, irritability, or disconnection from themselves.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Therapy with me focuses on building practical coping skills, strengthening emotional regulation, and understanding the deeper patterns that shape how stress, relationships, and identity show up in your life. Together, we work to move beyond survival mode and toward steadiness, resilience, and meaningful change.
I support men facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, mood disorders, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, grief, anger, and major life transitions. I also work with men navigating fatherhood, caregiving roles, family conflict, divorce, racial identity, spirituality, and career or school-related stress.
My work integrates evidence-based and holistic approaches tailored to each client, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Trauma-Focused Therapy

FAQs about men’s therapy
-
Men’s therapy isn’t a completely separate type of therapy, but it is often tailored to address the unique pressures, expectations, and experiences many men face. This can include difficulty expressing emotions, high levels of stress or responsibility, identity and role transitions, and cultural messages around masculinity that can make seeking support feel challenging.
In men’s therapy, therapists often focus on building trust, practical tools, emotional awareness, and deeper self-understanding at a pace that feels manageable. At Madrega Wellness, men’s therapy is individualized and grounded in evidence-based approaches, with the goal of helping men feel more connected, resilient, and able to navigate life with clarity.
-
There isn’t one single type of therapy that works best for all men. Effective men’s therapy meets you where you are and takes into account how stress, emotions, relationships, and past experiences show up in your life. Many men benefit from a combination of evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, somatic and body-based therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy—that support both practical tools and deeper emotional healing.
At Madrega Wellness, our therapists tailor therapy to each individual, offering a grounded, judgment-free space where men can work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions while building skills that support real, lasting change.
-
For many, therapy is worth it because it provides a space to slow down, gain clarity, and work through challenges that can feel overwhelming to carry alone. Therapy isn’t about being “fixed” or told what to do—it’s about understanding patterns, building practical tools, and learning how to respond differently to stress, emotions, and relationships.
Men who engage in therapy often report feeling more grounded, more connected to themselves and others, and better equipped to handle anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. While therapy takes effort and commitment, the long-term benefits—improved mental health, stronger relationships, and a clearer sense of direction—can make it a meaningful investment in yourself.
-
There’s no set timeline for therapy, as it depends on your goals, the challenges you’re facing, and how consistently you attend sessions. Some men notice small but meaningful changes—such as improved awareness, stress reduction, or better coping skills—within the first few sessions. Deeper work around long-standing patterns, trauma, or relationship issues typically takes more time.
Therapy is a process, not a quick fix. Many men find that regular sessions over several months allow for more lasting change, helping them build tools, insight, and emotional resilience that continue well beyond therapy itself.
-
Many clients begin to notice subtle but meaningful changes over time. This can include feeling more grounded, having greater emotional awareness, and responding to stress or conflict with more clarity instead of reacting automatically. Men often report improved mood, better sleep, increased focus, and a stronger sense of connection in their relationships.
As therapy continues, clients may also notice changes in how they relate to themselves—less self-criticism, more confidence, and a clearer understanding of patterns that once felt stuck. Progress looks different for everyone, but the goal is lasting change that supports healthier relationships, emotional resilience, and a more balanced life.

While we offer a variety of treatment modalities, many clients want to know more about ketamine therapy, how it works and what it looks like. Head over to our ketamine therapy page to learn more.
